How Do I Connect A Play Station 2 To A Philips 32″ Dvb Flat Panel Tv To Make It Work Please. Help Please !!!

I had the tv changed to the above flat panel [Philips 32" DVB], and for almost 6 months now, I have tried to effect a connection of the ps2 console but will just not work !!! I guess there is something I am doing wrongly. I have made use of the scart plugs…no way. Is there any special channel I need to tune the tv to, and whatever I need to do please. Thanks for your advice.
PS The PS2 was working quite well with the old toshiba replaced. Thanks.
